Recover

Recover means to find what was lost and then to retake or regain. It is the first Core Pillar of what we do at Mercy Gate Ministries. By working with our community partners, judicial stakeholders, and other for-profit and nonprofit organizations, we identify and recover women from a life of sexual trauma, exploitation, and trafficking. Community collaboration is vital to identifying and reaching the women who need our services. Once a woman is discovered to be a survivor of this trauma, we assess her needs and determine if she would benefit from our restorative Journey program.

Since survivors of sexual assault and exploitation experience complex trauma that severely impacts their minds, health, relationships, performance at work or school, and their overall life, our heart is to help these women restore their lives and the lives of those they touch.
